Its unique business partnership with the Fit for Life Financial Group (FFLFG) provides a unique business offering, providing holistic financial advice. In addition to financial planning, the FFLFG also offers tax and accounting services (Austax) and mortgage broking (My Mortgage Partner).
Key role responsibilities:
Providing ongoing service and advice to a book of existing clients and building strong client relationships
Provide advice to new and existing clients in compliance with My Fortress Licensee Standards
Provide coaching and mentoring support to Advisers, Associate Advisers and Paraplanners
Provide internal support and collaboration to Group Clients with My Mortgage Partner and Austax Townsville

At My Fortress, we have over 30 years of experience in mentoring and training undergraduate students throughout their career journey, right through to becoming a fully qualified Financial Adviser. With over 65 staff members in our team, we are looking for our future stars.
Whether you are in your first or third year of university studies, My Fortress has designed a Financial Adviser program that will enable you to learn all aspects of the financial planning process. You would commence in the administration team where you will learn the core skills in supporting the advice team, transition to paraplanning to develop your technical skills, as well as complete the FASEA professional year. The program can be offered as a part-time working arrangement while you complete your university studies.
This is an exciting, team focused role which will require excellent time management skills. Other skills you will have include:

We offer a formal Graduate Financial Adviser program, with mentoring from a Partner and Senior Financial Adviser, which will enable you to learn all aspects of the financial planning process. The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant/Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients, providing comprehensive accounting services and strategic advice. You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our clients meet all compliance and taxation requirements, while also helping them achieve their business goals through tailored strategies.
Ideal Applicant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance (CPA or CA qualification or on the path to complete)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with a focus on business and taxation services
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in accounting software Xero and MS Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.
